Profile of Dr. Dharmendra Verma, Director State Forest Research Institute, Jabalpur (M.P.)
Dr. Dharmendra Verma did M.Sc. (Chemistry) from IIT Roorkee and M. Tech. in Human Resource Management from IIT Kharagpur. He worked earlier as HRD Officer in Indian Telephone Industries, a Govt. of India undertaking, from 1985-1988. He joined Indian Forest Service in 1988. He holds Ph.D. in Development Policy, University of Wales, Swansea, United Kingdom. He has long experience in the Indian Forest Service related to forest administration and management of Central India Forests. He worked with Indian Council of forestry Research and Education from 2007-2011 looking after Environment Management and EIA Studies in the council.

He has been Director, Forest Education, from 2011-2014 looking after in service training of State Forest Service Officers and Range Officer in the country.

Currently, he is holding post of Director, State Forest Research Institute, Jabalpur. He is Vice President of Society of Tropical Forestry Scientists and production editor of the journal of Tropical Forestry.
